Settings
General Settings includes Account Options, Working and Archive folder locations, and other general options that control how ProCapture Backup is used.
The Account area displays the email address associated with your ProCapture Backup subscription. Click the drop-down arrow to access account actions, including Refresh, Deactivate, and Change Account.
- Refresh should be used if you’ve made changes to your subscription, such as upgrading, renewing, or adjusting your license.
- Deactivating frees up an activation and should be used before moving ProCapture Backup to a new computer.
- Change Account logs you out, allowing you to sign in with a different account.
This section also shows your current license type and the number of available activations. For full details on licensing and subscription rules, refer to the Pro Studio Software Store Policy page.

When offloading camera cards, it is recommended to create two copies of the original camera files and save them to two separate hard drives. This approach protects your files and ensures you always have a clean, untouched backup. Creating an archive copy is optional, but it is recommended for added backup and peace of mind.

For more information, see Set Up Working and Archive Folder Locations.
The following options affect how ProCapture Backup operates during and after a backup.
