Troubleshooting

What to check if you're not getting notified when a client uploads rooms.

Receiving Notification that new Rooms have been uploaded

Under SendMyRooms™ Settings > Business Notification Options, choose how you'd like to be notified when a client uploads new rooms. See notification options for more.

We recommend enabling both Email and ProSelect Messages. Email notifications are batched and sent in bulk, so you're not flooded if several clients upload at once — expect up to a three-hour delay. ProSelect Messages arrive immediately, in the Messages button in ProSelect.

Getting the ProSelect message but not the email? The email may be blocked by your ISP or caught in your spam filter — check your junk folder, and make sure emails from "@sendmyrooms.com" are allow-listed.

Checking if Client Rooms have been uploaded
  1. Check the SendMyRooms™ Management Area > Viewing Info:
    1. Log in to your ProStudio Software account.
    2. Click My Account > My Extras tab > Manage my SendMyRooms™ account.
    3. Search Viewings.
    4. Find your client and click Info.
    5. Uploaded images will be shown, or you'll see "No Rooms Uploaded" if there aren't any yet.
  2. Or check through ProSelect:
    1. Go to Resources > Setup Rooms...
    2. Click the Album tab and search for your client.
    3. If the images are still available, they'll appear as thumbnails.

No images available? Either your client didn't complete the upload, or it's been more than 7 days since the session date and the images have been removed.

When sending an invitation with Edit in Email App, you may see:

"Your message content is too long to automatically populate into your mail application. It will be copied to your clipboard instead."

On Windows, transferring an invitation to a desktop email program (like Outlook) via a "mailto:" URL — how SendMyRooms™ handles this — has a limit of around 2000 characters. Longer invitations simply won't fit.

As a workaround, SendMyRooms™ copies the content to your clipboard instead and shows the message above. When your email app opens, click into the message body and press Control-V to paste it in, then make any changes you need and send.

You can also shorten your invitations by editing the email templates. Keep in mind Text Tags add to the message length once expanded, so aim for a bit under 2000 characters to leave room.

This won't happen at all if you send invitations directly with the Send Message button — the method we recommend.
