What's New in ProSelect 2025

Multi-Editor Support: More Flexibility, Faster Workflow

New in ProSelect 2025 – You can now set up and use multiple photo editing applications directly within ProSelect, giving you greater flexibility in how you prepare and finalize your images.  This powerful enhancement allows you to assign and switch between different photo editors directly from within ProSelect.  Whether you're retouching, applying creative effects, or fine-tuning RAW files, you can now work with the tools that suit each task best, without interrupting your production flow.

Simply add your preferred editors in the settings area, then launch them as needed with a single click.  Whether you're preparing images before the sale or retouching after the session, this streamlined setup helps you customize your editing workflow to match your studio's unique needs.

  • Preview (macOS) is now supported—perfect for sales computers.  Instantly open full-resolution originals to check sharpness and detail, even without Photoshop installed.
  • Photoshop is still required to run Pro Production and finalize client orders.

This update empowers studios with more choices, better efficiency, and smoother transitions between creative tools.

Framed Prints with Pre-Assigned Pricing

You can now create Framed and Framed & Matted Prints with pre-assigned pricing—perfect for studios offering a curated line of framed products.  By setting up these products in advance with specific sizes, styles, and prices, they’re ready for quick access during your sales sessions.  Easily drop them into room views or use them for fast ordering without needing to build each piece from scratch.

This streamlined approach saves time, ensures pricing consistency, and helps you present a polished, professional product line with minimal setup.

Smarter Pricing for Traditional Matted Products

Traditional Matted products now support Sum of Parts pricing, making it easier than ever to price these classic offerings with speed and accuracy.  With this new option enabled, ProSelect automatically calculates the total price of a matted product by adding together the individual prices of its components—prints, mats, and frames—based on your existing pricing structure.  Whether you're selling from a curated product list or building custom designs on the fly, pricing is instant and always consistent.

No more manual calculations.  No more guesswork. Just quick, reliable pricing for hundreds of combinations—all done for you.

New Features for Specialty Products

ProSelect introduces powerful new options to elevate how you showcase and sell Specialty Products:

  • Transparency Support: Prints can now be displayed as if floating between glass, allowing the wall’s color and texture to show through—just like a real float frame.  This effect transforms the background into a virtual mat, giving your presentation a clean, modern look.
  • Full Support for Specialty Shapes: Easily create unique shape prints—such as circles, ovals, or custom contours—without needing to build a Wall Grouping.  It's a faster, more intuitive way to design standout pieces.
  • Flexible Traditional Matting Options: Apply traditional mats either around the outside edge of your product design or inside the image opening itself.  This added flexibility gives you greater creative control when crafting your product offerings.

These enhancements bring a new level of realism, creativity, and speed to designing and selling modern wall art.

Watch Folder Improvements

ProSelect Pro now uses updated technology to detect images from tethered shooting more quickly and reliably.  The improved Watch Folder is now faster and more responsive, giving headshot photographers and other tethered shooters quicker access to images—ideal for selling immediately after the session.

Product Crops Can Be Applied to Original Images

You can now apply product-specific crops, such as those set for prints, directly to your original image files.  With a simple right-click on any cropped product, you can send that exact crop back to the original image.  This ensures that any digital files you deliver or order match the precise crop used in the final product, maintaining consistency across formats.

Ideal for studios that provide digital files aligned with purchased prints.
