Introduction to ProCapture Backup

ProCapture Backup™ is a purpose-built off-loading and file organization tool designed specifically for photographers and videographers who need speed, accuracy, and consistency the moment files leave the camera.  Rather than acting as a traditional backup utility, ProCapture Backup™ focuses on the critical first step of every workflow: safely and efficiently transferring camera files into a structured, production-ready environment.  Using an intuitive, guided wizard, it removes guesswork from the offload process while ensuring files are organized, named, and prepared the same way every time.

  • Multiple camera cards can be offloaded simultaneously to both a primary and a backup location as part of a single automated task.
  • Optional file validation for added confidence.
  • Metadata templates can be applied during import.
  • Capture times can be corrected using TimeWeaver™ technology.
  • Complete folder structures can be built in advance, and file types routed to specific destinations.
  • Cards can be merged and renumbered to maintain proper image sequencing.
  • Images can be automatically added to Adobe Lightroom Classic.
  • ProSelect users can also generate ProSelect .psa files in the background as part of the process, without requiring ProSelect to be installed on the local machine.

ProCapture Backup™ is valuable not only for studio-based photographers but also for photographers and videographers working in the field.

  • Off-loads can be started on location and left to run unattended, ensuring accurate organization, consistent file handling, and secure data from the very beginning of the workflow.
  • Once configured, ProCapture Backup™ allows you to start the process and walk away, confident that your files will be offloaded, organized, and ready for whatever comes next.
Advanced TimeWeaver™ Technology

ProCapture Backup's TimeWeaver™ technology takes the complexity out of multi-camera event photography.  Merge images from multiple camera cards and adjust their timestamps down to the second, ensuring perfect sequencing across devices.  Whether shooting weddings, sports events, or other multi-camera scenarios, TimeWeaver™ guarantees precision and efficiency.

Getting Started

  2. Customize your profile(s) to match how you want your images organized.
  3. Optionally add Categories to organize jobs by things like date or lifecycle.
  4. Optionally customize your Job Structure by adding subfolders.  You can choose where images, RAWs, video, and audio files are placed.  You can also enable renumbering and embed metadata if needed.
