About Music

ProSelect offers a versatile music management feature that greatly enhances the Client presentation.  Music can be tailored to different client types, such as weddings, family portraits, or senior photo sessions.

  • Music tracks are saved in the "Music" folder, within the ProSelect Resources folder.
  • You can organize your music tracks into different groups according to client types or session themes.
  • Attach specific music tracks to various slideshow styles, ensuring that the audio complements the visual presentation.
  • Integrate music tracks into slideshow movies that you export, enriching the viewer's experience.
  • Use ambient music during in-person sales sessions to create a pleasant atmosphere (Pro Feature).
  • ProSelect includes several royalty-free music tracks in a special .pmf (ProSelect Music File) format that are ready to use within the software, adhering to the provided license agreement.
  • Access the extensive ProSelect Music Library with over 40,000 downloadable tracks.
  • Add your own music directly from your music files or import from iTunes/Apple Music.
  • Synchronize music to your slideshow, timing the slides to match the length of the music track.

ProSelect supports a variety of music file formats, including:

  • mp3
  • aiff
  • midi
  • m4a (aac)

  • pmf: ProSelect music format
Apple Protected Music

ProSelect may be able to import music from iTunes/Apple Music playlists, but cannot use Apple-protected music tracks, m4p files.  These tracks will be may be identified with a lock symbol in ProSelect due to their protected status, preventing their use outside the Apple Music environment.

Music files added from a file, folder, iTunes/Apple Music playlist, or an online source are stored in the Music folder within the ProSelect Resources folder.  This setup enables you to share your music and its configuration across multiple computers via ProSelect’s sharing options.  It's important to verify that your music licensing allows for this type of sharing to ensure compliance with copyright laws.
