We’re excited about your Mentor Session

During this 60-minute session, we'll present key highlights for using ProSelect, then work directly on your machine to get you started on your first ProSelect presentation.

Since time is limited, it's important that several things be in place and ready to go, so please review the following list carefully.

Preparing for your session

Software Setup
  • Install ProSelect 2025r1.2 (the latest version) and confirm it runs in Trial mode, unless already activated with a subscription.
  • The trial will start in the Pro version by default. If you've changed this setting, here's how to check or switch back to Pro.
  • Have Adobe Photoshop and functioning. If you don't have Photoshop, just let your mentor know in advance.
  • Install the Zoom App on your computer. Download Zoom and authorize all requested security permissions during installation.
Prepare Sample Images
  • If you shoot RAW and use Lightroom Classic, have at least 20 images from a session loaded into Lightroom.
  • If you shoot RAW but use another editor, export 20 un-cropped, full-size JPGs into a folder named with the Client Name.
  • If you shoot only JPG files, place them in an easily accessible folder (e.g., Desktop), named with the Client Name.
  • Note: Images should only have basic adjustments—no special effects.

Note: If you are not already logged into your ProStudioSoftware.com account, you will need to enter your email address and password.

Prior to your mentoring session

  • Restart your computer.
  • Have your meeting login information available (check your confirmation emails).
  • Open the following programs in this order:
    1. ProSelect
    2. Photoshop (with no images open)
    3. Lightroom (with your 20 images loaded)
  • Confirm the images folder (if not using Lightroom) and the downloaded Mentor Session File are both on your Desktop.
  • Have your cell phone handy. Please reply “I'll be there” to your text message reminder.

Just before your session

  • About five minutes before your scheduled time, begin the login process from your computer with ProSelect installed.
  • We'll use the microphone and speakers on your computer. Earbuds are fine too.
  • Make sure you've scheduled dedicated time without distractions.
  • It helps to have additional time available after the session to review your notes or practice what you've learned.
