Updating Supplier Book Designs

Album companies and labs may update their product offerings by adding or removing products, or changing the design parameters associated with book designs. To ensure that you have the latest information, it's important to obtain the most recent data provided by the supplier, which can be found in the .tpk file used for importing. You can check the supplier's website for product availability, as the data in ProSelect is provided by the supplier and not Pro Studio Software.

If you're unsure whether you have the most current data, visit the supplier's website to download the latest .tpk (Collection) files. You can also find links to many providers at ProStudioSoftware.com > Downloads > Third-party Partners.

To update your book designs, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the supplier's website and download the latest .tpk file for the products you want to install.
  2. In ProSelect, go to Templates > Setup Book Designs. The Setup Book Design window will open, and you can drag the corner to make the dialog larger.
  3. Scroll through the list to find existing book designs, which are listed by supplier name.
  4. Click on the topmost item from that supplier and scroll down to find the last listing.
  5. While holding the SHIFT key, click the last item in the list to select all designs by that supplier, then click the Delete button.
  6. Click the Import button and locate the newly downloaded .tpk file in the navigation dialog, then click Open.
  7. Your book designs for that supplier are now updated.

If your listing contains book designs from suppliers you're not using, you can use the same process to remove them.
