Downloading and playing ProSelect Demo movies

Apart from watching the Tutorial movies from ProStudio Software's Demo area directly off the web in your browser, you can optionally choose to download them and save them on your computer. This way you can view them instantly at any time without needing to be connected to the internet.

To do this:

  1. Left-click on the "Download" link next to the movie name. A message will appear telling you the name of the movie that will be downloaded, eg "ProSelectIntro.swf" (you can make a note of this name in case you can't find where the file was saved).
  2. In the next dialog - "Do you want to open or save this file?", click the Save button.
  3. Select the location to save the movie (and try to remember where that was!)
  4. After the download is completed, go to the location where the movie was saved and locate the movie file. Right-click on the file and select "Open with... Internet Explorer". The movie should then play in your browser.

Note: Unlike the movies played on the web site, the downloaded movies do not have a Controller Bar at the bottom so you can't stop or pause them.

SOFTWARE REQUIRED:

To play the movies on your computer from the web site or from your hard disk, you need the latest Flash Player installed (Flash 8 or newer). You can download this from the Macromedia web site.

Hint:
We had some difficulty upgrading to the latest Flash Player on our PC and found that we needed to un-install the old player first then download the newer version.
