Aligning Template Opening Sizes with Overlay Images
Sometimes you may have overlay image with openings of a particular size and you need to align with the openings in the template that you are designing. For example, an overlay image made from a real mat-frame combination that you wish to display and use in ProSelect.

To make it easier to adjust the overall size of the template for a specific opening size, in ProSelect 4.0.5 or newer, you can do this:
  1. First position the opening where you want it over the opening in the overlay image (Checking the Show Overlay Mask checkbox will make it easier to make sure that you have these aligned.)
  2. Enter the desired width of the selected opening into the Template data box on the right-hand side.
  3. Hold the Alt/Option Key down while clicking on the Apply Changes button.
This will adjust the overall size of the template such that the size of the selected opening is as you set it WITHOUT changing the size of the opening in relationship to the overlay image. Your would normally only do this for the main opening in the template -  any other openings should be correctly proportioned if the overlay image has been designed correctly.

Note:
In version ProSelect version 4.1 (or newer), you can also mark a template like this as a Fixed Size which makes it easier to display, order and produce them at the size that you have designed.
