Scaled to Fit message & Yellow Warning in Select Size View

If you are seeing a yellow warning symbol and the message "Scaled to Fit" in the bottom right hand corner of the main display area in ProSelect when showing an image or layout, this means that the item that you are trying to display at actual size is too large to fit on the screen at the current display calibration. So you need to firstly check that your screen calibration setting in ProSelect preferences is correct.

If this message is still showing after checking your calibration (make sure this is done on the screen you wish to show images at actual size on), then

  1. You could reduce the size of the item that you are displaying using the small size buttons in the right hand tool bar (if not a fixed size layout).

  2. If using a Projector, the numbers next to the yellow warning symbol will help.  You may need to move the projector further away from the wall (or projector screen) and re-calibrate in ProSelect. The calibration value that you measure and enter should increase in size (eg from 20" to 25" or more) and so should the values shown next to "Maximum Display Area" when to try to display a large size. If this is the case, then continue to move the projector further away from the wall/screen and re-calibrate each time until the size fits.

PROSELECT v2014r1 AND EARLIER

In earlier versions of the ProSelect software, the warning is seen as a light blue frame around your image or layout and a message underneath which says "Maximum Display Area....". See also the article "Maximum Display Area message in Select Size View".
