Using different background colors

Throughout ProSelect the background is set to black. This is done so that attention is focused on the images and products being presented.

At present you can't change the background color of the Display Area. However you can change the background color in a slideshow (Preferences -> Slideshow and Music-> Slideshow Settings -> Borders & backgrounds) or, in Working with Rooms by creating a room with a single color image (see below).

Creating some wall backgounds

Instead of using real images of rooms, simply create some simple colored jpg images in Photoshop (you might like to add a subtle gradiant for effect) and import them into ProSelect as rooms images. In Setup Rooms (under Resources Menu) you can then name them to something like "Wall - light blue". You will also need to calibrate them to a useful size. Measure the entire width or height of the image (using the ruler) and set it to a size that will be a little larger than the maximum size of any items that you wish to display in the "space". This process is exactly the same as setting up a real room image so refer to the manual or movies if you are not sure how to do this.

Using your Wall Images when "Working with Images" and "Working with Layouts"

Once setup, you can quickly show an image or a layout on your new "walls" by right-clicking on the Select Size icon (the ruler) and choosing the wall. Items will be sized in proportion to the calibration that you have setup. While in this view, you can use the next and previous buttons (or the right & left arrows on your keyboard) to show the next/previous item on the same "wall".

If your items haven't been set to a particular size then they will be initially displayed at the Select Size View Starting Size set in Preferences -> Display -> Calibration & Options -> Select Size View. When being displayed, you can use the Larger Size and Smaller Size buttons (or the up/down arrow keys) to change the displayed size of the item

Using your Wall Images when "Working with Rooms"

In this case, double-click the wall from the Library Rooms at the bottom of the screen in Thumbnail view, then drag one or more images or layouts onto the wall background. You can add up to 30 items, however whether they will all fit  will be determined by the size that you calibrated the wall to.
