If you are using a Shared ProSelect Resources folder and the images in the Resources folder have been updated with different images with the same name either 

• from within ProSelect on another computer, or
• from outside of ProSelect, or
• while you are using ProSelect "off-line" (temporarily disconnected from your Shared ProSelect Resources folder)

then you may find that any Layouts or Book pages produced on your computer through Hi-res Production may not have the same images as displayed in your ProSelect album.

In ProSelect version 2012r1 and newer all resource images are now cached on your local machine in the ProSelect Low Res Resources folder.  For speed reasons, when displaying an album, ProSelect always looks in ProSelect Low Res Image Resources folder first unless you are selecting a new resource image or running Hi-Res Production, in which case, it gets the original images from your Shared ProSelect Resources folder. 

However, in the above circumstances, this folder can get out of sync with your Shared ProSelect Resources folder.

If this happens then there are two step to sorting this out:

1. Re-synching your ProSelect Low Res Image Resources folder

To do this you can use either use:

    ProSelect Resources Folder -> Check for Updated files (under Resources Menu in ProSelect)

This will update the cached images in your ProSelect Low Res Image Resources if any newer versions (by date/time) are found the ProSelect Resources folder. You might need to do this on all of your computers running ProSelect.

OR

   ProSelect Resources Folder -> Rebuild Low-Res cache (under Resources Menu in ProSelect)

This will delete all images images in the ProSelect Low Res Resources and re-build them from those in the ProSelect Resources folder. Warning: this may take quite some time if you have lots of resource images.

2. Re-Synching your ProSelect Album images from your ProSelect Low Res Image Resources folder

To  update any images used in the album, use

    Update Resource Images (under Album menu in ProSelect)

This will replace the copy of the used resource image in your ProSelect Album file and update any effected layout or book page in the album. You will need to do this for each album that uses any updated images.
