Installed new ProSelect version, but old version still opens

If you have downloaded and installed a new version of ProSelect, but when you open the software it is still runs the older version, then the following information will assist.

Possibly you have more than one copy of the program installed on that computer.

  1. Make sure ProSelect is not Running
  2. On Mac, drag ProSelect folder (in your Applications folder) to the trash to uninstall then empty the trash.
  3. On Windows, uninstall all installed ProSelect versions (via  Windows Control Panel --> Uninstall Program)
  4. Double click on a ProSelect Album file (.psa) and see if another copy of ProSelect opens (this shouldn't happen in Windows, as all instances will be removed at the same time).
  5.

On Mac, if ProSelect still starts, you will need to find where you installed it and delete it the same way as point 2 above. To find where it is, right-click on the running ProSelect icon in the dock and choose Options -> Show in Finder. A finder window will open. Drag the ProSelect folder icon at the top of the window into the trash. Close ProSelect and empty the trash.

  6. Repeat above step until a copy of ProSelect does not start.
  7. Delete all copies of "ProSelect_OSX_UB.dmg" that you have on your computer in case you have more than one copy of the download file.
  8. Re-download the version relevant to your license.
  9. Install that version of ProSelect.

It will say the version you installed on the startup screen when you open ProSelect.
