Problems with QT Slideshow made with QT7 and/or iDVD
If you are experiencing problems with QT slideshow made with QT7 and/or iDVD....

For Mac Users

QuickTime 7 is a complete re-write and as such seems to have a number of differences and bugs that were not present in QT6.
  1. iDVD will crash when you try to burn a DVD of a QuickTime movie made with ProSelect.
  2. The crash occurs immediately before iDVD starts encoding the video assets.

For Windows Users

Early versions of QuickTime 7 for Windows can cause problems such as:
  1. ProSelect crashing when you start it
  2. ProSelect giving a Nil Exception Error while just sitting open with no activity.

SOLUTION:

If you are finding these problems, you should update to the latest version of QuickTime which can be found on the Apple Web Site on the Quicktime Download page.

Mac users should  also use the latest version of iDVD which is 6.03 (at the time of  writing). Version 5.0x had problems with some combinations of music tracks.
