Cannot find Hi-Res Production Images

If you are using ProSelect's Hi-Res Production and there are no images in the expected output folder, then you can use the following information to check (& change) where the images are being output to and whether production is completing correctly.

  1. For each new album, ProSelect remembers the Hi-Res output location (based on your Preferences --> Hi-Res Production setup) and by default uses that location for every subsequent time that you run production on that album. In other words, it will ignore any changes that you make to the Output Location in the Preferences AFTER the first time you run production for an album.

  2. Whether running the first or later production runs, the folder that ProSelect is going send the images to is always shown in the "Output folder" box (bottom right corner of the Hi-Res Production window). If you hover the mouse over this box, it will show the full path to the file. You can click the "magnifying glass" in this box to select another location (which will then be used from now on). You can also Alt/Option click the "magnifying glass" in this box to show the selected folder location in the Finder (on Macs) or Windows Explorer (on Windows).

  3. If you change ProSelect's Preferences --> Hi-Res Production setting to "Use Sub-folders for each size" between production runs, this WILL change where the images are saved but only WITHIN the designated output folder.

  4. The "Keep Open in Photoshop" checkbox is ONLY enabled and working when you have only one item selected for output. You can use this to test production on one item in case there are any issues. Using this method, the final image will be saved to the selected output location in the format setup in ProSelect's Preferences --> Hi-Res Production (i.e. either .jpg, tif or .psd format), and ALSO left open in Photoshop as a layered Photoshop file. So, when production finishes, you can then switch to Photoshop to check that it is all correct. If you then choose the Save command (under the File Menu in Photoshop), Photoshop will open the Save Dialog window showing the location where the output image was saved.

In summary, you can use points 2 and 4 above to check where the images are being output to and whether production is completing correctly.

Please also see the article "Empty folders after running Hi-Res Production" if the above information has not resolved the issue.
