Exporting To Photo One - PhotoOne Setup
Below are the steps required to setup Photo One so your orders can be Exported from ProSelect and Imported into Photo One (this information was provided by PhotoOne and updated on December 25, 2009).

Step 1 - Done in PhotoOne

  1. Go to drop down menu Setup / Interfaces / ProSelect
  2. Go to the XML Icon; put a check mark in the box that says "It is a PhotoOne Customer number…" if you want to create a brand new order on a customer’s account, or "It is a PhotoOne Order number…" if you want to associate it with an existing session order.
  3. If you wish to use the PhotoOne customer tax rate, put a check mark in the box.
  4. Save.

Step 2

  1. Minimize PhotoOne.
  2. Right click on the PhotoOne Icon on the desktop, select properties, write down what you see in the Start In box (you’ll need this in Step 4.3).
  3. Close the properties.

Step 3 - Done in ProSelect

  1. Go to Edit / Preferences.
  2. Click on Pricing & Ordering Icon.
  3. On the right side of window, put a check in Show Product Codes.
  4. Edit each ProSelect price and add the price code from PhotoOne into the Product Code box.  It is CASE SENSITIVE, notice that PhotoOne uses all caps for the price code, be sure to do the same in ProSelect.

**You will want to note your PhotoOne Customer’s number, home phone number, or Session order number prior to exporting orders out of Pro Select.  If the customer doesn’t already exist in PhotoOne, add all the customer information in Pro Select, when PhotoOne adds the order, it will also create the customer record.

In ProSelect, on the order screen, click the button that says  Update Groups.  In the Acnt Code box, type in the PhotoOne customer number or the Session Order number you want to create a -2 order for (1234-1 entered will add a new order 1234-2 to the customer record), or in the home phone box, type in their phone number.   Click the Save button, and then the Close button.  Add the items to the order, add any payments.

Step 4 - Done in ProSelect

When you’re ready to transfer the order to PhotoOne:
  1. Go to the drop down menu Orders / Export Orders and from the Drop Down Export To box select PhotoOne.
  2. Click the magnifying glass at the bottom under Export File To.
  3. Using what you wrote down in Step 2.2, browse to the PhotoOne folder, and click OK  (You’ll only need to do this ONE TIME, after that, Pro Select will remember.)
  4. Click the Export Now button.

Step 4 - Done in PhotoOne

Go to any customer record (or the customer record you’re importing an order for) and click the Get Order Button.
